You will be working for a Government agency who look after Scotland's national forests and land, totalling 650,000 hectares. Due to a project being signed off, they are looking for multiple operatives to work as part of their 30-person team on site for a 6-month contract.Your new role
You will be undertaking the following duties on site:
- Manual handling of trees, moving the trees into a state-of-the-art greenhouse to ensure survival over winter
- Working outdoors in challenging conditions
- Working on pest & disease monitoring, irrigation and spraying operations
- Comfortable working as part of a team
- Sorting and packing trees as directed by the team leaders
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be physically fit and ideally used to working outdoors, either in a similar environment or from another industry. Due to the nature of the work, you do not require a CSCS Card to be considered for this position. However, a driving licence would be desired but not essential.What you'll get in return
You will be offered a contract until the end of March which will see you through the winter months. You will be paid weekly and receive the option of paid annual leave. You will receive regular updates from your Hays consultant.What you need to do now
