Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:

We support 17 individuals at this Service comprising of 12 bedsits and a 3-bed roomed bungalow which 2 people reside.  They require various levels of support with learning disabilities, mental health and physical disabilities.  We focus on achieving individualised goals, working together to overcome barriers, and ensuring people are living their very best lives.  They need to be supported by people who understand their individual needs, and will promote their independence and really make a positive difference to their lives.  They each have their own interests and like to take part in lots of activities - from karaoke, baking, BBQs and garden parties - to discos, day trips and holidays.  They have all had experience of challenges with their anxieties, past traumas and behaviours.  They need support workers to be confident supporting them in these areas.  We need to build on their trust to help them feel safe and secure.  Their are several support workers on shift each day and 2 waking nights staff.  Overnight staff will be from 11pm to 7am and their will be floating staff between the hours of 7.30am to 10pm.  The earliest shift commence at 7am with the latest shift finishing at 10pm.   We require support workers to be flexible to meet the needs of this service.
