The Cardo Group are currently recruiting for an Electrical Apprentice to join our team based in the Keith, Moray area.
An Electrical Apprentice works under the supervision of qualified electricians to learn how to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial environments. This is a hands-on training role that combines on-the-job learning with classroom-based education.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with the installation of wiring systems, circuit breakers, lighting, and electrical fixtures.
- Interpret electrical diagrams and technical plans.
- Use hand and power tools to complete installations safely and efficiently.
- Perform basic testing and fault-finding on electrical systems.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Follow health and safety regulations, including proper PPE use.
- Attend and complete any required technical training sessions or college-based study.
- Support experienced electricians with materials preparation, tool setup, and documentation
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
- Candidates will need to have English and Math at grade 4 or above/ Or the equivalent essential skills level 2
- Strong interest in electrical work and problem-solving.
- Good attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Physical fitness – ability to work in confined spaces, heights, or construction sites.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
- Willingness to learn and adhere to safety standards on site
- Positive attitude toward gaining new skills and knowledge
