What type of Apprenticeship did you/are you doing? (Foundation, Modern or Graduate) 


Apprenticeship Type: RAF Advanced (equivalent to Graduate in Scotland)

Subject: Aeronautical Engineering (Avionics)



Which employer did you do/are you doing an Apprenticeship with?


Royal Air Force and currently serving at RAF Lossiemouth



What did you want to do when you were in Secondary School as a career?


I originally wanted to be a Car Mechanic.



What subjects did you enjoy in Secondary School/College?


Maths, Physics & Technical Subjects



Why did you decide to do an Apprenticeship?


Whilst in my last year of school I learnt I could earn as I learn and this really appealed to me.



What did/do you enjoy most about your Apprenticeship?


Getting hands on with the aircraft for the first few times.  I am working on the Typhoon aircraft which is an amazingly high-tech piece of equipment.



Were there any entry requirements for your Apprenticeship?


National 5 in Maths, English and a science subject.  I also had to sit an aptitude test and pass the fitness requirements.



What advice would you give to anyone else considering an Apprenticeship?


Go for it!!!  There are few other opportunities to make a decent wage whilst learning your trade and skill set.  It sets you up for life.
