Which employer did you do/are you doing an Apprenticeship with?

 

Springfield Properties PLC

 

What did you want to do when you were in Secondary School as a career?

 

Find a trade and gel into the construction industry.

 

What subjects did you enjoy in Secondary School/College?

 

Art and Design, P.E and Woodwork

 

Why did you decide to do an Apprenticeship?

 

It was a good start up in life, and it’s a job you will have forever.

 

What did/do you enjoy most about your Apprenticeship?

 

Working with similar types of people.

 

Were there any entry requirements for your Apprenticeship?

 

There isn’t any major requirements, it is preferable to have some experience in what ever trade you would like to have an apprenticeship in. For joinery, they look for:

  • Woodwork experience (from school, part time job.)

  • Maths

  • English

What advice would you give to anyone else considering an Apprenticeship?

 

Be keen to learn and show interest in what you are doing.
