Company Role Description
We’re looking for a warm, organised and capable Chiropractic Assistant who is confident using computers and digital systems to join our friendly, family-run clinic in Elgin.
This is a varied reception and administrative role for someone who genuinely enjoys helping people, communicates confidently and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly. You’ll often be the first person our patients speak to or see, so a welcoming and professional manner is essential.
You’ll be joining a small, supportive team that works closely and collaboratively to provide an excellent experience for every patient.
Strong computer skills are essential, and you must be comfortable working independently, using your initiative and taking responsibility for day-to-day tasks.
Who are we?
Elgin Chiropractic is a friendly, family-run clinic with a clear purpose: to help people feel better, move better and live better.
We believe chiropractic care is about more than appointments and adjustments. It is about making every patient feel welcomed, listened to and cared for from the moment they contact us.
What you’ll be working on
As our Chiropractic Assistant, you will help provide a warm and efficient patient experience while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the clinic.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming patients and helping them feel comfortable
- Answering telephone calls, emails and patient enquiries
- Maintaining accurate and confidential electronic patient records
- Taking payments and completing general administrative tasks
- Using modern computer systems confidently and accurately
- Managing reception duties independently when required
- Supporting chiropractors and other team members
- Keeping the reception and clinic areas calm, clean and organised
- Communicating clearly with patients and colleagues
- Managing appointments and clinic schedules with our booking system, Jane App
What we’re looking for
You will be someone who is:
- Friendly, caring and approachable
- Highly organised and dependable
- Confident working independently without supervision
- Comfortable using initiative and making sensible day-to-day decisions
- Able to work collaboratively within a small team
- Calm and focused when managing several tasks
- Professional and respectful of patient confidentiality
- A clear and confident communicator
- Proactive and willing to take ownership of tasks
- Reliable and punctual
You must be confident using modern computer systems, including:
- Email and digital communication
- Online booking and scheduling software
- Electronic patient records
- Shared calendars and digital documents
- Standard office applications
You should also be comfortable learning new software quickly and resolving straightforward technical issues.
Previous experience in reception, administration, healthcare or customer service would be helpful, but the right attitude, competence and willingness to learn are most important.
Knowledge or experience of chiropractic care would be a bonus, but it is not essential.
Working hours
The role follows a flexible, alternating two-week rota and averages 17 hours per week.
Week 1
Monday: 8:45 a.m. – 1:15 p.m.
Tuesday: 8:45 a.m. – 1:15 p.m.
Wednesday: 8:45 a.m. – 1:15 p.m. and 2:45 p.m. – 7:15 p.m.

Friday: 8:45 a.m. – 1:15 p.m. and 2:45 p.m. – 6:15 p.m.
We’d love this role to be a good long-term fit, so it’s important that the rota works well for you. From time to time, we may also ask whether you’re available to provide holiday cover, with any additional shifts discussed and agreed in advance. Some flexibility may be possible where clinic cover allows.
